In the mouth
Full-bodied and concentrated. Black pepper and dark chocolate notes accompany a persistent, well-balanced finish with excellent structure.
On the nose
Powerful, dominant dark fruit character: black plum, fig, blackberry, raspberry and cherry. The bouquet reveals considerable maturity and concentration.
On the eye
Intense, opaque ruby red; deep colour characteristic of mature reserve Porto.
Breeding
Made from young wines aged in stainless steel vats, this five-year-old blend is fruity, intense and well-balanced.
This is an excellent companion to firm cheeses and chocolate preparations. I particularly recommend it with game, especially duck, where its weight and spice complement the richness of the meat. A wine that rewards patience in the glass.

Ramos Pinto is a port house founded in 1880 in Porto (Portugal) by Adriano Ramos Pinto. Part of the Champagne Louis Roederer group since 1990. Cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Vineyards in the Douro Superior. Range: Tawny (10, 20, 30 Year), Vintage, Late Bottled Vintage, Dois Aviadores (dry Douro wines). Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz.
