In the mouth
The attack is precise and linear, developing into well-matured, supple tannins that carry the wine through to a sustained finish. Structure and elegance in balance.
On the nose
Ripe dark fruits predominate, with violet and spice notes emerging. A mineral freshness runs throughout, lending clarity and definition to the bouquet.
On the eye
Deep purple-red, intense and luminous
Breeding
In French oak barrels (fine grain) of which 75% new wood for 16 to 18 months
M. Francois
A natural companion to beef dishes of substance—particularly those prepared with aromatic spicing. The wine's mineral backbone and refined tannins complement rich, slowly braised preparations. Consider it equally with game and mature cheeses.
