Product features : Chateau Couhins - Pessac-Leognan Grand Cru Classé 2016 — Pessac-Léognan

Breeding
12 months in French oak barrels (30% new), amphora and stainless steel vats
On the eye
Deep garnet-red with profound colour and subtle brick-tinged reflections
On the nose
Complex and distinctly Pessac in character, marked by an assured balance between ripe fruit and mineral terroir expression. The bouquet unfolds with restraint and precision.
In the mouth
The tannins are finely calibrated and precise. Technical expertise is evident throughout the vinification. Medium-bodied, the wine privileges elegance and refinement over raw power, with a structure built for longevity.
M. Francois
Château Couhins Rouge appeals to those who value precision and intellectual rigour in wine. This is a cerebral Pessac-Léognan: every element in its proper place. Whilst it lacks the opulence of certain neighbours, it excels in freshness and drinkability. A wine that ages with infinite grace, refining without fatigue. Excellent with roasted game or traditional Bordelaise preparations.
