Power and elegance from ancient pear trees on granite

  • Crafted from pear trees over a century old, some exceeding 300 years, planted on granite-rich soils. This terroir imparts profound aromatic depth and a distinctive minerality rarely encountered in perry, establishing this as a serious expression of place.
  • Among Domaine Eric Bordelet's most prestigious offerings, this perry is produced with the rigour of fine wine. Limited production and remarkable complexity—both aromatic and structural—distinguish it from conventional examples of the category.
  • The domaine practises organic viticulture throughout. Natural fermentation preserves fruit purity and allows the granite terroir to speak clearly, without intervention or added sulphites beyond what fermentation demands.

Product features : Domaine Eric Bordelet Poire Granite 2022 — Champagne

In the mouth
Dry and vibrant, with striking minerality and uncommon complexity. Flavours of ripe pear, white blossom, citrus and dried fruit emerge, with a subtle spice note. Fine effervescence supports a crystalline freshness; the finish is long, elegant and mineral-driven.
On the nose
Expressive and refined bouquet: fresh pear, white flowers, citrus notes, and a mineral spine reflecting the granite subsoil. Complexity unfolds gradually in the glass.
On the eye
Pale golden robe with brilliant clarity and delicate, persistent effervescence.
M. Francois
This is perry at the level of fine wine—a serious expression of terroir. Its aromatic depth, minerality and silken texture make it an ideal aperitif or accompaniment to refined gastronomy: shellfish, delicate fish preparations, blue cheeses and light desserts. A testament to Éric Bordelet's mastery and the richness of his ancient pear orchards.
