In the mouth
Balanced and well-defined on the palate, with fine tannins and a persistent finish that carries the wine's mineral signature through to a satisfying close.
On the nose
Elegant dark fruit character—blackcurrant and plum—with subtle mineral undertones that speak to the limestone-rich terroir of Saint-Émilion.
On the eye
Deep ruby robe with an inviting intensity
Breeding
This cuvée is aged 18 to 24 months in new oak barrels
M. Francois
Bellefont-Belcier pairs naturally with grilled beef à la bordelaise, meat-based sauces, and game. The wine's structure and acidity make it equally at home with duck confit or venison, where its tannins complement the richness of the dish.
