Breeding
Minimum five years' élevage (often considerably longer for "Hors d'Âge" designation) in oxidative conditions, in large oak vats or barrels
On the eye
Deep amber with golden highlights, the colour speaks of patient maturation and oxidative development.
On the nose
The bouquet is frank and evolved, revealing layers of cocoa, tobacco leaf, leather and subtle roasted notes. A wine of considerable aromatic complexity.
In the mouth
The palate is balanced and elegant, with good structure and a lingering finish marked by caramel and warming spice.

Domaine Piquemal is a family wine estate in Espira-de-l'Agly (Pyrénées-Orientales), Roussillon. Founded in 1830. Around 55 hectares on schist and gneiss soils. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Muscat. Appellations: Côtes du Roussillon Villages, Rivesaltes, Muscat de Rivesaltes. Organically farmed. Dry and sweet wines.
