A domaine of Burgundian distinction and consistent excellence

  • The domaine's 22 hectares are cultivated with reasoned agriculture, respecting the terroir whilst minimising intervention. This approach yields wines of genuine character and purity.
  • Vines averaging 60 years old, rooted in clay-limestone soil that imparts mineral structure and depth. Old vines concentrate flavour and character across the vintage.
  • A refined, aromatic wine of considerable concentration. The fruit expression is vivid and the structure elegant—characteristic of fine Gevrey-Chambertin from serious hands.

Product features : Geantet-Pansiot Vieilles Vignes 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 75cl

In the mouth
A burst of ripe red fruit on entry, with supple, silky tannins that carry the palate through to a clean, persistent finish. Structure is evident but never aggressive.
On the nose
Red and dark berries predominate—cherry, plum—with secondary notes of white pepper, dried herbs, and a whisper of forest floor. The bouquet develops with aeration.
On the eye
Deep garnet, with good intensity and a subtle brick rim suggesting maturity.
Breeding
15 months in oak barrels, 30% new
M. Francois
This is a wine that rewards patience in the glass. After ten minutes' aeration, it shows the refinement and balance one expects of a premier cru—though it carries the village appellation. I would pair it confidently with duck confit and autumn vegetables, or simply with good charcuterie. A fine expression of the domaine's philosophy.
