In the mouth
Round and supple on entry, the palate is dense yet remarkably elastic, with excellent structure. The finish is persistent and mineral-driven.
On the nose
Refined and layered bouquet: dried rose petals, pot-pourri florals, cinnamon and white pepper intertwine with mirabelle, peach, lychee and apricot. Considerable aromatic depth.
On the eye
Luminous golden hue with pale amber highlights.
M. Francois
Versatile and expressive. Excellent as an aperitif or paired with exotic fruit desserts. Equally at home with foie gras, sweet and sour shellfish preparations, or blue cheese. A wine of genuine character that reflects its terroir with clarity and purpose.

DOMAINE ALBERT BOXLER

Based in Niedermorschwihr in the Haut-Rhin, Domaine Albert Boxler farms 14 hectares of steep granite hillsides under the Alsace appellation, with yields deliberately held to 30–35 hl/ha. The Boxler family has been rooted in this village since 1672; Albert Boxler made the estate's first domaine-bottling in 1946, a standard his grandson Jean has upheld since taking the helm in 1996. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision, tension and mineral drive of its whites — Riesling above all — drawn from lean granitic soils that give the wines a clarity and backbone rarely matched in Alsace. A discreet but thoroughly reliable address for lovers of great dry whites.
