Excellence in a glass: the Cordon Bleu tradition

  • A fruit-forward Champagne of considerable freshness and balance. The palate remains lively without aggression, making it equally at home as an aperitif or throughout a meal.
  • The mousse is characterised by fine, persistent bubbles that speak to careful dosage and traditional méthode champenoise. A hallmark of quality winemaking.
  • Remarkably versatile: serve it as an aperitif, with canapés, or alongside lighter courses through to dessert. A Champagne for occasions both formal and convivial.

Breeding
Ageing: A minimum of 3 years on lees (double the legal requirement), allowing the bubbles to integrate perfectly. Reserve wines: Approximately 20% reserve wines are used to ensure consistency of Venoge's flavour profile despite vintage variation.
On the eye
A magnificent golden robe with bright, sustained effervescence.
On the nose
Delicate floral notes evolve gracefully towards brioche and light pastry aromas, developing complexity as the wine opens in the glass.
In the mouth
Fresh and lively on the attack, with a dry, well-balanced finish. The structure is elegant rather than heavy—light, refined, and without any harsh edges. A wine of considerable finesse.
M. Francois
De Venoge's Cordon Bleu remains one of the most reliable Champagnes for everyday entertaining and celebration alike. Its heritage—named after the order established by Henri III—speaks to a house of genuine standing. I recommend it warmly for any occasion where you wish to offer something of quality without pretension.

CHAMPAGNE DE VENOGE

Established at 33 avenue de Champagne in Épernay, Champagne de Venoge is one of the appellation's most enduring Houses, working chalk-soil terroirs across the Marne. Founded in 1837 by Swiss négociant Henri-Marc de Venoge at Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the House has built its identity on the mastery of all three Champagne varieties — Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay — in a style that balances structure with finesse, now carried forward under the Lanson-BCC group. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this House for the consistency of its cuvées, the depth of its history, and its assured positioning within one of the world's most demanding appellations. Nearly two centuries of Champagne-making, and the signature remains entirely its own.
