Breeding
Aged 18 months in oak barrels (50% new), imparting delicate woody aromas and well-integrated tannin structure
On the eye
Deep purple robe, almost black, with garnet reflections.
On the nose
Intense bouquet of dark fruits—plum and blackberry—with violet, liquorice, leather and warm spice notes of black pepper and clove.
In the mouth
Generous attack with fine, well-integrated tannins. Ripe dark fruit flavours of blackberry and cassis, garrigue, black pepper, liquorice and dark chocolate. Long, mineral finish with soft spice notes.
This is a Gigondas of considerable depth—powerful yet refined, and entirely true to the character of the Dentelles terroir. The aromatic complexity, silky tannin structure and palate length make it an excellent match for rich dishes: game, meat in sauce, aged cheeses. It is also a serious wine for the cellar, developing gracefully over years with increasingly complex aromatics and silken texture. A fine expression of southern Rhône elegance and power.
