Breeding
Aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, imparting subtle notes of vanilla, tobacco and toasted oak whilst preserving the purity of the fruit
On the eye
Deep purple robe with garnet reflections
On the nose
Intense bouquet of dark fruits, violet and white pepper, with liquorice and garrigue—the hallmark aromatics of serious Gigondas.
In the mouth
The 2017 vintage displays a generous, powerful palate: ripe dark berries, sweet spice and garrigue with fine, well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and subtly oaked, with excellent structure.
This is a harmonious, expressive Gigondas that captures the essence of its terroir and the generosity of the vintage. Silky tannins and aromatic depth make it an excellent candidate for cellaring. Pair with rich dishes—game, red meat in sauce, aged cheeses. It will continue to evolve and gain complexity over years, rewarding patience with increasing refinement.
