Product features : Château Troplong-Mondot Saint-Émilion 1er Grand Cru Classé B

Breeding
In oak barrels (including a substantial proportion of new wood) for 18 months
On the eye
Deep purple-garnet robe, dense and opaque at the core, with vivid violet glints at the rim.
On the nose
Aromas of dark fruits—blackcurrant and plum—interwoven with truffle, liquorice, and subtle toasted oak. The bouquet unfolds with aeration.
In the mouth
Intense and profound. Ripe tannins provide a firm, well-integrated structure. The palate shows depth and persistence, finishing with mineral precision.
M. Francois
Troplong-Mondot is a wine of real temperament—a flagship of the Right Bank. Its paradox lies in its power: massively concentrated and sun-drenched, yet anchored by a calcaire spine that confers genuine breeding. This is a collector's wine and a gastronomic partner of substance. Serve it with fine cheese, or with game and rich preparations. It rewards patience.

CHATEAU TROPLONG MONDOT

Château Troplong Mondot stands at the highest point of the Saint-Émilion appellation — 106 metres above sea level — across 33 hectares of clay-limestone soils with flint. Founded in 1745 and promoted to 1er Grand Cru Classé B in 2006, the château reached its zenith under Christine Valette-Pariente, whose 1990 vintage earned a remarkable 98/100 from Robert Parker. Since 2017, the French reinsurance group SCOR has ensured continuity, with the estate now engaged in organic conversion. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its exceptional terroir, the precision of its Merlot-led blends, and a quality trajectory confirmed across vintage after vintage. A Saint-Émilion built for the cellar.
