Angevin elegance captured in a glass of pure expression

  • Mature vines averaging 35 years old, conferring depth and complexity to the fruit expression. This age profile ensures concentration and textural richness without excessive extraction.
  • North-east facing exposure captures the Atlantic maritime influence characteristic of the Loire Valley, bringing freshness and mineral definition to the palate. The continental-oceanic climate balance is evident in the wine's structure.
  • The terroir of Coteaux de l'Aubance is expressed through distinctive white Anjou fruit character: honeyed stone fruits balanced by crisp acidity and saline minerality. A wine of genuine typicity.

Product features : Domaine des Rochelles Coteaux de l'Aubance 2015

In the mouth
Excellent aromatic presence with a gourmand quality balanced by freshness and mineral precision. The palate shows good structure and a clean, persistent finish.
On the nose
Preserved apricot and quince, white flowers, citrus zest, and subtle tobacco leaf with soft spice notes. The bouquet develops complexity with time.
On the eye
Golden yellow with green highlights, evolving towards deeper gold with amber nuances as it matures in bottle.
M. Francois
This cuvée opens beautifully as an apéritif wine, and pairs exceptionally well with foie gras—a classic Loire pairing. I'd also recommend it alongside lightly spiced exotic cuisine, poached fish in sauce, or creamed poultry. The wine's balance makes it surprisingly versatile at table. Drink now, or cellar for another five to eight years.
