Organic Luberon blanc balancing richness with freshness

  • Sourced from the finest terroirs within Domaine de la Citadelle's certified organic vineyard. The estate has practised organic viticulture since 2016 and holds HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification, reflecting a genuine commitment to environmental stewardship.
  • A wine of genuine equilibrium: the structure and weight you expect from a mature Luberon blanc, tempered by crisp acidity and mineral tension. Neither over-extracted nor thin—a measured expression of its appellation.
  • Offers honest quality without pretension. A wine that rewards the drinker without demanding a premium price, ideal for those who value substance over marketing.

In the mouth
Intense yet delicate, with a silky texture. Stone fruit flavours (apricot, peach) meld with acacia flowers and soft spice. The finish is persistent and elegant, leaving a lingering impression of ripe fruit and floral grace.
On the nose
Intense and ripe: yellow stone fruits (apricot, peach), white flowers, and subtle vanilla notes. The bouquet speaks of full ripeness without heaviness—a mature, well-developed profile.
On the eye
Pale golden yellow, bright and luminous. A clean, inviting appearance that signals freshness despite the wine's maturity.
Breeding
8 months on fine lees
M. Francois
I find this wine particularly suited to poached chicken with mild Indian spicing—the wine's weight and subtle sweetness complement turmeric and ginger without competing. It would equally serve well with creamy fish dishes or simply as an aperitif. A dependable bottle that speaks to the quality of the vintage and the estate's careful viticulture.
