In the mouth
The palate is supple and lively, with good acidity that carries the citrus and floral notes through to a dry, mineral finish. Structure is elegant rather than imposing.
On the nose
Aromatic expression of citrus — lemon and grapefruit — mingled with white flowers and a whisper of hazelnut. The nose is clean and inviting, with no heaviness.
On the eye
Golden robe with pale green reflections, suggesting freshness and youth.
Breeding
Aged in oak barrels for approximately 10 months.
Les Picotins reveals its true character alongside seafood — freshwater fish, shellfish, and crustaceans all find a natural partner here. I would equally recommend it with terrines, and with goat's cheese or pressed-curd cheeses. The wine's freshness and subtle richness make it one of those versatile bottles that earns its place on the table.
