In the mouth
A soft, well-balanced palate. White fruit flavours of pear and apple are complemented by a light honeyed note. The finish is clean and refined, with the acidity providing welcome structure beneath the natural sweetness.
On the nose
An expressive bouquet of white stone fruits—pear and apple—with delicate floral notes and a subtle brioche character that develops with aeration.
On the eye
Pale golden hue with silvery reflections. Fine, persistent bubbles rise steadily in the glass.
Breeding
Minimum 12 months on lees to develop complexity and finesse
M. Francois
The Saint-Meyland represents what Bailly Lapierre does best: elegant, food-friendly sparkling wine without pretension. Its demi-sec character is neither cloying nor austere—a genuine middle ground for those seeking bubbles with genuine flavour and grace. The Méthode Traditionnelle élevage has given it complexity and finesse. I recommend it warmly for dessert courses or as an aperitif where a lighter touch is preferred.
