Aromas of red and dark fruits—plum and blackcurrant predominate—with subtle floral notes and a whisper of mineral character from the terroir
On the eye
Brilliant ruby red with good depth of colour
A wine of genuine elegance that rewards careful serving. Best appreciated with roasted meats—duck, lamb, beef—or alongside mature cheeses such as Comté or aged Reblochon. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the aromatics to fully express themselves. Drinking well now, with potential for further development over the next five to seven years.

Clos Triguedina is a wine estate in the Cahors appellation (South-West France), run by Jean-Luc Baldès (seventh generation). Around 60 hectares of vines. Main grape: Malbec (Cot). Clay-limestone soils of the Quercy causses. Cuvées: Probus (100% Malbec, aged 30 months in new barrels), The New Black Wine. One of the benchmark estates of the Cahors appellation.
