Pure Malbec expression: ripe fruit and mineral freshness in harmony

  • Crafted without added sulphur, this wine preserves the authentic character of the Malbec varietal. The winemaker's commitment to minimal intervention allows the terroir of Cahors to speak with clarity and integrity.
  • Aged in ovoid concrete vessels, the wine develops remarkable aromatic purity and textural refinement. This contemporary approach to élevage enhances the natural minerality whilst maintaining the wine's elegant structure.
  • A modern expression of Cahors that remains approachable and versatile. Equally at home as an aperitif or paired with red meat and spiced dishes, this wine demonstrates the region's capacity for food-friendly, nuanced wines.

Product features : Chateau Lamartine Tandem 2019 — Cahors

In the mouth
The palate opens with supple red fruit and crisp acidity, moving into a finely textured mid-palate. The finish is mineral-driven and elegant, with good length and a refreshing acidic backbone that suggests food pairing potential.
On the nose
Menthol-tinged bouquet revealing red fruits and white pepper spice. The aromatics are clean and precise, with underlying mineral notes that speak to the limestone-rich terroir.
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with subtle luminosity
Breeding
The expression of Malbec, combined with ageing in ovoidal vat (50%) and concrete vat (50%), yields a fruit-driven wine with mineral finish and fine acidity.
M. Francois
A wine that honours its South-West heritage whilst remaining contemporary in approach. Pair with regional charcuterie and game, or venture further with red meat and spiced cuisine. The natural acidity and mineral character make it equally rewarding as an aperitif wine, served slightly cool.
