Breeding
Élevé environ 1 an en cuve béton, sans aucun passage sous bois (0% fût de chêne). L'objectif est de préserver la gourmandise du fruit, l'expression florale et la fluidité de la Syrah
On the eye
Robe rouge rubis à grenat, limpide et brillante, parcourue de jeunes reflets violines.
On the nose
Très expressif et floral. Dominé par la violette et la mûre, complété par des notes de graphite (mine de crayon), de fruits rouges frais et une touche épicée.
In the mouth
Attaque fraîche, légère et juteuse. La bouche offre un fruit éclatant (cassis, mûre) soutenu par des tanins très souples et des nuances de poivres (blanc et rouge). La finale est fluide et désaltérante.
Grâce au terroir d'altitude du Ventoux, les frères Chaudière réussissent le pari de proposer une Syrah qui évoque davantage le style du Rhône Nord (Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage) que la chaleur du Sud. L'absence de bois et l'élevage en béton préservent ce côté poivré et floral irrésistible. C'est un vin "de copains" par excellence : gourmand, digeste, équilibré et d'un rapport plaisir/prix remarquable

CHATEAU PESQUIE
Château Pesquié is a wine estate in the Ventoux appellation, at the foot of Mont Ventoux (Vaucluse). Owned by the Chaudière-Bastide family. Around 95 hectares at 300-400 m altitude. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Roussanne, Viognier, Clairette. Organically farmed. The wines express the freshness brought by the altitude and the mistral of Ventoux.
