A Loire white of genuine character and freshness

  • This Sancerre presents the classic appeal of the appellation: a Sauvignon Blanc of considerable freshness and purity, with an engaging fruit-forward profile that speaks to the terroir of the Loire Valley.
  • The wine reveals considerable intensity on the palate, with ripe yellow fruit and citrus notes that lend both complexity and approachability. The mineral backbone provides the structure that distinguishes fine Sancerre.
  • Subtle aromas of citrus zest and blackcurrant leaf characterise the nose, inviting further exploration. The organic credentials underscore a commitment to sustainable viticulture in this prestigious appellation.

On the eye

Séduisante robe or pâle.

On the nose

Au nez ce Sancerre libère des notes de bourgeon de cassis, d’agrumes et de fruits jaunes.

In the mouth

Based in Sury-en-Vaux in the Cher, Domaine du Pré Semélé farms 22 hectares across two complementary Sancerre terroirs: kimmeridgian Terres Blanches and portlandian limestone Caillottes. Founded in the 1940s by Maurice and Camille Raimbault on just 3 hectares, the estate is now in the hands of the fourth generation — Julien from 2001, Clément from 2010 — who committed to organic conversion in 2023, producing white, red and rosé from Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision of its terroirs, the consistency of four generations of family stewardship, and the seriousness of its move towards organic viticulture. A Sancerre reference we follow closely.
