A harmonious blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre expressing true terroir

  • A wine of genuine character and substance. The blend of three classic Languedoc varieties reveals the concentrated fruit and vibrant spice that comes from low-yielding, mature vines in the Saint-Chinian appellation.
  • Pairs beautifully with duck confit and roasted autumn vegetables. The wine's silky texture and moderate weight make it equally suited to game dishes and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
  • Produced from sustainable viticulture practices with careful parcel selection. The winemaking respects the fruit and terroir, allowing the natural concentration of the vineyard to speak clearly.

Product features : Laurent Miquel Saint-Chinian Cazal Viel 2021

Breeding
French oak barrels for 12 months
On the eye
Deep, dense and opaque. A wine of substance and maturity.
On the nose
Ripe dark fruits dominate—black cherry and plum—with a pronounced spice character. Black pepper and liquorice notes add complexity and lift to the bouquet.
In the mouth
The palate echoes the nose with silky texture and surprising lightness of touch. A whisper of oak frames the fruit without overwhelming it. The finish is clean and persistent.
M. Francois
Cazal Viel demonstrates what Saint-Chinian achieves at its finest. This is a wine of genuine terroir and temperament, with the depth that comes from naturally concentrated small yields. The fruit is dense, the spices vibrant, and the structure speaks of careful viticulture and thoughtful winemaking.

DOMAINE LAURENT MIQUEL

Based in Cessenon-sur-Orb in the Hérault, Domaine Laurent Miquel farms 200 hectares under certified organic agriculture across the Languedoc appellation. A winemaking family since 1791, Laurent — a trained engineer — took over in 1996 as the eighth generation and made history as the first producer to grow Albariño in France. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its viticultural project, the diversity of its terroirs — limestone at Cazal Viel, clay-limestone at Auzines — and the precision of its reds, whites, and rosés. A benchmark address for anyone wishing to explore the full depth of the Languedoc.
