Breeding
In stainless steel with 20% subsequently aged in French oak barrels
On the eye
Brilliant ruby
On the nose
Black fruits—cassis and blackberry—interwoven with white pepper and subtle spice. Restrained oak adds complexity without dominance. Inviting and precise.
In the mouth
Seductive and crisp on the palate, with a satisfying textural grip. The finish extends with mineral definition and a lingering elegance. A wine of genuine pleasure.
M. Francois
The Solas Syrah answers a particular need: a Languedoc wine of structure without excess power or oak. Here is an 'airy' Syrah, built on charm and drinkability rather than extraction. Precise, unadorned, and remarkably consistent. A wine for relaxed lunches, convivial aperitifs, and honest entertaining—no complications required.

DOMAINE LAURENT MIQUEL

Based in Cessenon-sur-Orb in the Hérault, Domaine Laurent Miquel farms 200 hectares under certified organic agriculture across the Languedoc appellation. A winemaking family since 1791, Laurent — a trained engineer — took over in 1996 as the eighth generation and made history as the first producer to grow Albariño in France. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its viticultural project, the diversity of its terroirs — limestone at Cazal Viel, clay-limestone at Auzines — and the precision of its reds, whites, and rosés. A benchmark address for anyone wishing to explore the full depth of the Languedoc.
