Eight generations of winemaking heritage

  • This Viognier balances aromatic intensity with refreshing acidity, avoiding the heaviness often found in southern Viogniers. A wine of genuine elegance and drinkability.
  • Cultivated under reasoned agriculture practices, respecting both vineyard and environment. A commitment to sustainable viticulture without compromise.
  • Solas—meaning light in Irish—captures the wine's luminous character perfectly. Pale gold with crystalline brilliance, it shines in the glass and on the palate.

Solas demonstrates remarkable equilibrium—a Viognier that refuses to overwhelm. Laurent Miquel has tamed the variety's natural richness into something fresh, elegant and genuinely aromatic. Ideal for those discovering Viognier without excess. Excellent aperitif wine; pairs beautifully with garlic prawns, roasted crayfish and sushi.

DOMAINE LAURENT MIQUEL

Based in Cessenon-sur-Orb in the Hérault, Domaine Laurent Miquel farms 200 hectares under certified organic agriculture across the Languedoc appellation. A winemaking family since 1791, Laurent — a trained engineer — took over in 1996 as the eighth generation and made history as the first producer to grow Albariño in France. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its viticultural project, the diversity of its terroirs — limestone at Cazal Viel, clay-limestone at Auzines — and the precision of its reds, whites, and rosés. A benchmark address for anyone wishing to explore the full depth of the Languedoc.
