Eight generations of winemaking craft

  • This Viognier achieves a rare balance between aromatic richness and refreshing crispness. Where southern Viogniers often lack acidity, Laurent Miquel has crafted a wine that is both elegant and food-friendly.
  • Domaine Laurent Miquel practises reasoned agriculture, respecting the land whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality across their vineyard holdings.
  • Solas means light in Irish—a fitting name for a wine of such luminous clarity and brightness. A wine that brings clarity and pleasure to the table.

The Solas Viognier is a masterclass in balance. Laurent Miquel has tamed the Viognier grape to produce a fresh, digestible wine of remarkable aromatic character—ideal for those discovering this varietal without excess richness. Excellent aperitif wine; pairs beautifully with shellfish, grilled prawns, or sushi.

DOMAINE LAURENT MIQUEL

Based in Cessenon-sur-Orb in the Hérault, Domaine Laurent Miquel farms 200 hectares under certified organic agriculture across the Languedoc appellation. A winemaking family since 1791, Laurent — a trained engineer — took over in 1996 as the eighth generation and made history as the first producer to grow Albariño in France. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its viticultural project, the diversity of its terroirs — limestone at Cazal Viel, clay-limestone at Auzines — and the precision of its reds, whites, and rosés. A benchmark address for anyone wishing to explore the full depth of the Languedoc.
