Breeding
In stainless steel with 20% subsequently aged in French oak barrels
On the eye
Brilliant ruby
On the nose
Ripe black fruits—blackberry and plum—with white pepper and subtle spice. Restrained oak integration allows the fruit to shine.
In the mouth
Gourmand and crisp with fine tannin structure. The palate is seductive yet precise, finishing with a lingering mineral note that defines the wine's character.
M. Francois
Solas represents a thoughtful interpretation of Languedoc Syrah. Where many regional examples lean towards power, this wine prioritises elegance and drinkability. Precise, unadorned, and consistently well-made. A wine of genuine pleasure—ideal for unhurried lunches or evening aperitifs where conversation matters as much as the glass.

DOMAINE LAURENT MIQUEL

Based in Cessenon-sur-Orb in the Hérault, Domaine Laurent Miquel farms 200 hectares under certified organic agriculture across the Languedoc appellation. A winemaking family since 1791, Laurent — a trained engineer — took over in 1996 as the eighth generation and made history as the first producer to grow Albariño in France. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its viticultural project, the diversity of its terroirs — limestone at Cazal Viel, clay-limestone at Auzines — and the precision of its reds, whites, and rosés. A benchmark address for anyone wishing to explore the full depth of the Languedoc.
