A family domaine rooted in traditional winemaking excellence

  • A distinguished aperitif wine that rewards contemplation. The extended élevage has developed remarkable complexity and refinement, making it equally suited to quiet reflection or convivial gathering.
  • A natural companion to blue cheeses and aged chèvres, where its caramel and torrefied notes create an elegant counterpoint. Also splendid with foie gras and chocolate-based desserts.
  • This represents genuine quality in a fortified wine of character—a wine that offers real pleasure without pretension, discovered through patient tasting rather than marketing claim.

Product features : Domaine Piquemal Muscat de Rivesaltes Ambre l'Age de Raison Hors d'Age

Breeding
Minimum five years' ageing (often considerably longer for "Hors d'Âge" designation) in oxidative conditions, in large oak vats or barrels
On the eye
Deep amber hue with golden reflections, suggesting considerable age and complexity within the glass.
On the nose
A frank, intense and evolved bouquet revealing layers of cacao, tobacco, leather and roasted notes—the signature of patient maturation in wood.
In the mouth
The palate is balanced and elegant, with good structure and a lingering finish marked by caramel and subtle spice.
M. Francois
This Muscat excels as an aperitif, but shows particular affinity with blue cheeses, aged goat's cheese, sautéed foie gras with figs and apricots, and chocolate-based desserts. The wine's maturity allows it to bridge the gap between aperitif and dessert wine with considerable grace.
