Breeding

18 mois en fûts de chêne français, avec une proportion de 50 % de bois neuf (le reste en fûts d'un vin).

On the eye
Brilliant deep purple with dark reflections
On the nose
Dark berry fruits predominate, with secondary notes of black pepper and cedar. The bouquet develops gradually, revealing layers of liquorice and graphite as the wine opens.
In the mouth
Straight and juicy on the palate, with well-defined tannins that provide structure without heaviness. The finish is clean and persistent, with a subtle mineral character.
M. Francois
This wine pairs admirably with duck ballottine, roasted veal, and well-aged cheeses. The tannin structure complements game dishes and beef preparations. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow full expression of its aromatic character.

CLOS DU MARQUIS

Planted across 45 hectares of quaternary graves at Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, Clos du Marquis is a Bordeaux red of genuine Médoc pedigree, sitting on a west-facing plateau at twenty metres' elevation. Founded in 1902 by the Delon family, it takes its name from the Petit Clos adjoining historic Château de Léoville, once home to the Marquis de Las Cases. Distinct from Léoville Las Cases, it has earned recognition as a first wine in its own right, blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc with quiet authority. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the rigour of its viticulture, the clarity of its identity and the consistency it delivers vintage after vintage on the graves of Saint-Julien. A Médoc red of real character — precise, generous and built to age.
