Harmony and structure in perfect balance

  • Château Gloria was assembled from several parcels classified as Grands Crus in the 1855 Classification. This thoughtful selection of the finest Saint-Julien terroirs defines the house's character.
  • Henri Martin, the visionary proprietor, also owns Château Saint-Pierre, further testament to his deep understanding of Saint-Julien's distinctive terroir and winemaking traditions.
  • A wine of genuine longevity. Château Gloria rewards patience in the cellar, developing secondary complexity whilst retaining the vibrancy that makes it equally approachable in its youth.

Product features : Château Gloria 2022 — Saint-Julien

Breeding
Aged in French oak barrels for 14 to 18 months, with approximately 40% new wood, imparting subtle vanilla and spice aromas to the wine.
On the eye
Deep purple robe with garnet highlights, almost black at the core.
On the nose
Intense and layered bouquet: blackcurrant and dark cherry, fine cedar and precious wood, with subtle liquorice and dark chocolate undertones.
In the mouth
Structured and generous on the palate. Ripe dark fruits—cassis and blackberry—meld with spice, tobacco leaf, and cedar. Fine, silky tannins provide backbone without dominance. The finish is long and fresh, with remarkable equilibrium.
M. Francois
Château Gloria exemplifies Saint-Julien's marriage of power and refinement. Its aromatic complexity, well-integrated tannin structure, and genuine cellaring potential reward both immediate enjoyment and patient laying down. Splendid with roasted red meats, game, and rich sauces. An essential reference for serious Bordeaux collectors.

CHÂTEAU GLORIA

Château Gloria spans 50 hectares in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, at the heart of the Médoc, on Günzian gravel soils that define the appellation's character. Founded in 1942 by Henri Martin — cooper and long-serving mayor of Saint-Julien — the château was assembled parcel by parcel, drawing exclusively from land belonging to Classified Growths. Taken over in 1991 by the Triaud-Martin family, it achieved organic certification in 2024 under the guidance of consultant Jean-Michel Comme. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the coherence of its terroir, the rigour of its conversion to organic farming, and the typicity of its Saint-Julien reds. A château that reconciles Médoc heritage with genuine contemporary ambition.
