In the mouth
Nervy and well-defined. Grapefruit and mandarin citrus dominate the palate, with good acidity and a clean, lingering finish that avoids any heaviness.
This wine exemplifies d'Yquem's philosophy: remarkable aromatic complexity married to genuine freshness. There is lovely tension throughout, and the fruit has real substance without excess weight. The botrytis adds depth, but the acidity keeps everything in balance. A wine of genuine elegance.

CHATEAU D'YQUEM
Château d'Yquem is an estate in the Sauternes appellation (Bordeaux), the only Premier Cru Supérieur in the 1855 Classification. Area: 113 hectares with 100 under vine. Owned by LVMH since 1999. Grapes: Sémillon (75%) and Sauvignon Blanc (25%). Outstanding sweet wine from successive pickings of botrytised grapes. Average yield: one glass per vine.
