Craft refined across generations in the northern Rhône

  • Le Paradis Saint-Pierre expresses the distinctive granite terroir of Saint-Joseph with remarkable clarity. The old vines cultivated by Domaine Coursodon yield wines of considerable depth and mineral precision.
  • This white displays the characteristic richness and stony minerality that define the finest expressions of the appellation. The interplay between ripe fruit and granite-driven freshness creates a wine of genuine complexity.
  • Sourced from mature vines established decades ago, the fruit carries the concentration and character that only older plantings can deliver. This foundation ensures a wine of substance and character.

Breeding
Ageing on fine lees with weekly stirring
On the eye
Golden yellow with bright, luminous reflections in the glass.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with honeyed notes and ripe stone fruit aromatics. Subtle floral hints emerge with aeration, characteristic of mature Rhône white wines.
In the mouth
The palate is round and generous, yet animated by the mineral tension of the granite subsoil. Roasted almond and hazelnut notes develop with time in glass, whilst a refreshing acidity provides structure and balance throughout.
M. Francois
A wine of considerable versatility at table. It pairs beautifully with poultry in cream sauces—particularly those featuring wild mushrooms such as morels. The mineral backbone also suits fish preparations and lighter cheese courses. Drink now or cellar for five to eight years.

DOMAINE COURSODON

Based in Mauves, Ardèche, Domaine Coursodon farms 16 hectares of steep granite and schist terraces in the Saint-Joseph appellation, Vallée du Rhône. Founded in the late nineteenth century, the estate has passed through five generations: Jérôme Coursodon joined his father Pierre in 1998 and has steadily established it as one of the appellation's most authoritative addresses, producing Syrah-based reds and whites from Marsanne and Roussanne. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision of its élevage, the taut minerality of its whites, and the depth of its reds from terraces overlooking the Rhône. A characterful, HVE-certified estate we recommend without reservation to lovers of serious Saint-Joseph.
