The authentic expression of Pauillac's terroir

  • This Fifth Growth from Pauillac offers the richness and aromatic complexity that defines the appellation. A wine of genuine character, built on a framework of ripe cassis, violets, and mineral depth—the hallmark of serious Left Bank Bordeaux.
  • Lynch-Moussas embodies the traditional winemaking that has distinguished Pauillac for generations. Here is a wine for those who value substance over fashion: structured, age-worthy, and marked by the distinctive terroir of its vineyard.
  • The marriage of noble Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot, rooted in gravel and clay soils, yields a wine of poise and longevity. This is Fifth Growth Bordeaux as it should be: honest, well-made, and built to cellar.

Breeding
Ageing for 18 months in oak barrels, comprising 50% new oak and 50% one-year-old oak.
On the eye
Deep garnet with violet rim. A wine of colour and substance.
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with dark berries, rose petals, and cocoa, underpinned by garrigue and a subtle smoky minerality. Classic Pauillac character.
In the mouth
The palate is fresh and mineral-driven, with fine-grained tannins and a structure that speaks to serious ageing potential. Blackcurrant and dark cherry persist through a long, composed finish.
M. Francois
I recommend this wine with lamb—a côte de mouton or navarin aux légumes de printemps—or with beef cooked simply to let the wine's mineral character shine. It is equally at home with a mature Comté. Drink from 2025 onwards; the wine will develop further complexity over the next decade.
