Languedoc rosé of genuine refinement and character

  • This Languedoc rosé from Chateau Puech-Haut embodies the elegance and sophistication of southern French winemaking. A wine of genuine quality that rewards careful attention, offering a rewarding experience for those who appreciate restraint and balance.
  • A rosé of substance rather than fashion, equally at home as an aperitif or accompanying a carefully prepared meal. It brings a quiet refinement to moments of relaxation and good company without demanding attention.
  • Crafted by the respected Puech-Haut domaine with considerable skill and understanding of their terroir, this wine represents the serious end of Languedoc rosé production—a choice for those who value authenticity over trend.

Breeding
Ageing on fine lees with light stirring to enhance richness and silkiness on the palate
On the eye
Rose petal in colour
On the nose
Bright citrus notes with subtle red fruit character. Clean, inviting aromatics without excessive intensity. Well-defined and focused.
In the mouth
Layered and complex on the palate. White cherry and floral notes with a whisper of spice. Good structure and balance, with a dry finish that encourages further sips.
M. Francois
A versatile wine suited to aperitifs, light salads, shellfish such as prawns, poached salmon, and white meats. The acidity and restraint make it particularly suitable for al fresco dining during warmer months. Serve well-chilled.

CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT

Set on the argilo-calcaire slopes and rolled-pebble soils of Saint-Drézéry, north-east of Montpellier, Château Puech-Haut farms 150 hectares in organic conversion within the Languedoc appellation. Founded in 1980 by Gérard Bru on what was once dense garrigue and olive groves, the estate has steadily established itself as one of the region's most consistent addresses, blending Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre for its reds, and Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier for its whites. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its range, the precision of its assemblages, and the fresh momentum brought since 2024 by incoming managing director Arnaud Demongeot. A reliable, characterful choice for those who want the Languedoc at its most complete.
