Breeding
Aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, with a low percentage of new wood, bringing finesse and complexity without dominating the fruited aromas

Deep purple robe with garnet highlights
On the nose
Complex bouquet of dark plum and blackberry, layered with white pepper, aniseed, thyme and rosemary. Subtle leather and tobacco notes emerge with aeration.
In the mouth
Structured and silken, with well-integrated tannins. Ripe blackcurrant and blackberry meld with pepper and garrigue, finishing with mineral freshness and sustained aromatic persistence. A wine of considerable length.

CHATEAU DE VALFLAUNES
Set at the foot of the Montferrand castle in Valflaunès, Hérault, Château de Valflaunes covers 13 hectares of ancient calcareous scree within the AOC Languedoc. Founded in 1998 by Fabien Reboul, whose winemaking career took him through Burgundy, Oregon and New Zealand, the estate has been certified organic since 2021, working a Mediterranean palette of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Roussanne and Marsanne across red, white and rosé. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its viticulture, the precision of its blending and the integrity of a project firmly rooted in one of the Languedoc's most serious terroirs. A producer well worth following.
