Organic excellence from the Pic Saint-Loup terroir

  • This 2024 Pic Saint-Loup represents serious organic viticulture from the Languedoc. The wine combines environmental responsibility with genuine quality—a choice for those who understand that thoughtful farming and fine wine belong together.
  • The palate shows the hallmark freshness of Pic Saint-Loup: dark berry fruit, garrigue notes, and a fine-grained structure that carries through to a crisp finish. A wine that complements food without demanding attention, yet rewards close study.
  • The playful name masks serious intent. This is a wine that performs equally well at table or in conversation—a reminder that organic farming in the south need not mean heavy or overwrought fruit.

Product features : Chateau De Valflaunes Pic Saint-Loup Tu l'as vu le loup ?

Breeding
Brief élevage in stainless steel or concrete vats. No oak ageing to preserve the aromatic brightness and varietal purity.
On the eye
Bright ruby with violet glints. Clear and well-defined, showing the vigour of young Syrah from a well-tended vineyard.
On the nose
Fresh dark fruits—blackberry and blueberry—with a savoury edge of garrigue (thyme, rosemary) and a whisper of black pepper. The Languedoc character is unmistakable, yet the expression remains restrained and elegant.
In the mouth
Silky and fluid on entry. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, allowing the wine to flow without heaviness. Dark fruit and herbal notes persist through to a clean, crunchy finish.
M. Francois
The name invites conversation—always a good sign. What strikes me most is the freshness: the Pic Saint-Loup terroir has done its work, preventing any southern heaviness despite the summer sun. The tannin structure is refined, the fruit crunchy and alive. A wine that drinks beautifully now, yet has enough substance to age gracefully over the next three to four years. Organic farming here is not a marketing point; it is simply how serious vignerons work.
