Discover the elegance of established vineyard tradition

  • This 2024 Beaujolais-Villages from Domaine Jean-Michel Dupré showcases the character of vines planted in 1940. The wine's aromatic complexity and balanced structure make it a thoughtful choice for those seeking substance over fashion in their glass.
  • Silky tannins and a well-defined structure offer versatility at table. Whether accompanying traditional French cuisine or more contemporary fare, this wine carries itself with restraint and poise, never demanding attention it has not earned.
  • Produced under organic principles, this Beaujolais reflects generations of commitment to the domaine's terroir. It represents the quiet confidence of a family merchant who understands that great wine needs no embellishment.

On the eye
Deep purple robe with youthful intensity
On the nose
Fresh red and dark berry fruit—cassis and blackberry—with subtle floral undertones. The bouquet develops with air, revealing mineral notes characteristic of the appellation.
In the mouth
Lively and approachable on the palate, with a refreshing crispness that belies the wine's depth. The fruit remains prominent without heaviness; the finish is clean and persistent.
M. Francois
A genuine expression of Beaujolais-Villages, this wine avoids the theatrical excess sometimes associated with the appellation. The 1940 vines contribute structure and complexity that reward patient tasting. Ideal for those who value authenticity and terroir-driven character over novelty.

DOMAINE JEAN-MICHEL DUPRE

At Les Ardillats, on the south-west-facing slopes of the Beaujolais hills at 320–380 metres, Domaine Jean-Michel Dupré farms 14 hectares of sandy-loam soils over a granitic base. Founded in 1989 from just two inherited hectares, the estate has grown steadily while remaining rooted in a family viticultural tradition stretching back generations — including Gamay vines planted as early as 1911. Certified organic and HVE, it produces reds and whites that speak plainly of their terroir. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rarity of its century-old vines, the rigour of its organic viticulture, and a family continuity now carried forward by Cindy Dupré. Beaujolais with genuine depth and a strong sense of place.
