Domaine Yannick Amirault "Cote 50" 2023 Bourgueil — Organic - 2023

WINE | RED WINE | LOIRE | BOURGUEIL ROUGE
Bottle of : 0.75L

The most approachable Cabernet Franc from the domaine.

  • This wine displays a refined structure that distinguishes it within the domaine's range. The tannins are well-integrated, allowing the wine to be enjoyed with immediate pleasure whilst retaining sufficient backbone for modest cellaring.
  • Cote 50 is conceived to drink well in its youth, without the austerity sometimes found in more demanding vintages. The 2023 demonstrates this philosophy admirably, offering immediate gratification without sacrificing complexity.
  • Whilst approachable now, this wine will develop gracefully through 2027. Early consumption will reveal its youthful fruit character; patience will reward with subtle secondary flavours. The choice of drinking window is yours.

Product features : Domaine Yannick Amirault "Cote 50" 2023 Bourgueil — Organic

Breeding
Discreet élevage in large wooden vats and stoneware jars for 6 to 12 months to preserve the wine's fruit brightness.
On the eye
A vibrant purple robe with youthful luminosity.
On the nose
Pronounced fruit intensity dominates the bouquet, with blackcurrant and plum notes characteristic of the Loire's Cabernet Franc. The aromatic profile is clean and inviting, without excessive extraction.
In the mouth
Powerful fruit expression on the palate, with ripe red and dark fruit flavours. The mid-palate shows good concentration whilst maintaining freshness. Tannins are present but refined, supporting rather than dominating the overall impression.
M. Francois
Lightly spiced notes add welcome complexity to the fruit-forward profile. These subtle peppery undertones, likely from the Cabernet Franc variety itself, integrate harmoniously with the wine's structure. A well-balanced expression that demonstrates the quality achievable in organic viticulture within the Bourgueil appellation.
