BAUDRY & DUTOUR
Based at Cravant-les-Côteaux in the heart of the Chinon appellation, Baudry & Dutour farms 120 hectares across tuffeau calcaire, argilo-siliceous gravels and clay-limestone soils, all certified organic and HVE. Founded in 2003 when Christophe Baudry — sixth generation of a vigneron family with roots stretching back to 1778 — joined forces with Jean-Martin Dutour, the estate has woven two distinct family legacies into one of the appellation's most coherent ranges: red, white, rosé and sparkling. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its organic viticulture, the precision of its élevage across genuinely contrasting terroirs, and the way its wines faithfully express the mineral character of Loire Cabernet Franc. A Chinon address well worth knowing.
