Refined Burgundy elegance from a distinguished terroir

  • Sourced from the En Pommard lieu-dit, a parcel distinguished by its clay-limestone terroir that imparts considerable finesse to the wine. This specific site has long been recognised for producing whites of notable complexity and mineral character.
  • Precise vinification with extended élevage sur lies enriches the texture and develops the aromatic profile. This traditional approach builds complexity whilst preserving the wine's inherent elegance and freshness.
  • A versatile companion for refined occasions. The wine's mineral backbone and delicate fruit make it particularly suited to simply prepared fish, creamy poultry dishes, and fresh shellfish preparations.

Breeding
Ageing for 10 to 12 months in oak barrels with minimal new oak to avoid overpowering the fruit.
On the eye
Pale gold with greenish glints, reflecting the wine's youthful vitality and cool-climate provenance.
On the nose
Expressive bouquet revealing white flowers, pear and peach, with subtle almond notes. The aromatics are refined rather than voluptuous, reflecting the wine's mineral underpinning and careful winemaking.
In the mouth
Silken texture with crystalline minerality and good tension. The palate shows good length with a savoury finish that echoes the fruit and mineral character. Well-balanced and composed, with no heaviness.
M. Francois
This wine exemplifies the understated elegance that defines fine Saint-Véran. The balance between restraint and expression will appeal to those who appreciate Chardonnay for its complexity rather than its weight. A wine of genuine breeding, suited to discerning palates and the table alike.
