Based in Sologny, Saône-et-Loire, Verget is one of the Mâconnais's most respected négociants, producing Mâcon Chardonnay of real precision on clay-limestone and marly soils. Founded in 1990 by Belgian-born Jean-Marie Guffens, the house built its reputation on rigorous parcel selection and an uncompromising approach to white Burgundy — far removed from passing trends. Named négociant of the year by the Revue du Vin de France in 2020, Verget remains a benchmark for the region.
