On the eye
Deep purple-red, almost opaque, with dark, brooding hues that suggest considerable concentration.
On the nose
The bouquet is refined and fresh, with delicate notes of wild berries, mineral undertones, and the distinctive herbal character of the garrigue landscape from which it derives.
In the mouth
The tannins are remarkably fine and tightly woven, yet possess a silken texture. The palate is voluminous and spherical in structure, with excellent balance and a persistent, elegant finish.
Larmanela stands amongst the finest wines of southern France. This is a wine of genuine emotion, marrying the raw power of Languedoc with the technical precision one might expect from a classified Bordeaux growth or northern Rhône cru. Bergerie du Capucin is a wine estate in the Languedoc (Hérault), at the foot of Pic Saint-Loup. Organically farmed vineyard. Mediterranean grapes: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre (reds), Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier (whites). Appellations: Languedoc, Terrasses du Larzac. The wines express the diversity of Languedoc terroirs.
