Breeding
It is aged in stainless steel for the Grenache and in oak barrels of 2 to 3 years for the Syrah and Mourvèdre.
On the eye
Deep ruby, opaque and luminous
On the nose
Aromas of ripe dark fruits—kirsch and blackberry—interwoven with the warmth of spice box and subtle herbal notes characteristic of the terroir
In the mouth
Rich and ample on the palate, with a full-bodied structure supported by silken tannins. The wine possesses both immediate appeal and the balance to develop further in bottle
M. Francois
This wine will accompany game dishes with particular grace—a civet of hare or wild boar terrine would be ideal companions. Its weight and tannin structure also suit beef preparations and mature cheeses. Decant one hour before service to allow the wine to open fully.
