A great vigneron's signature: fruit-driven Bourgueil without compromise

  • This cuvée captures the essence of ripe red fruit and natural generosity. Jacky Blot's meticulous viticulture yields a wine of genuine pleasure rather than extraction—approachable yet serious.
  • Domaine de la Butte practises organic viticulture, respecting the soil and the Cabernet Franc varietal. This philosophy translates into wines of clarity and authenticity.
  • The terroir of Bourgueil expresses itself here with purity: mineral freshness, red fruit character, and a silky tannin structure that speaks of careful winemaking rather than heavy-handed intervention.

Product features : Domaine de la Butte - Jacky Blot "Pied de la Butte" 2024 Bourgueil

Breeding
6 months in stainless steel vat
On the eye
A pale to medium ruby; the light colour signals a wine of elegance and restraint, not over-extraction.
On the nose
Immediate and inviting: ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, and morello cherry dominate. The bouquet is fresh and crystalline, with no heaviness.
In the mouth
Supple and fluid, with a peppery liveliness that carries through to a clean finish. A subtle cherry-stone note lingers pleasantly without any astringent edge.
M. Francois
Pied de la Butte reconciles those who find traditional Bourgueil austere. Here is a wine of genuine friendliness—no bitter tannins, no rough edges—yet bearing Jacky Blot's hallmark of terroir-driven authenticity. Excellent with charcuterie, grilled meats, or simply as an aperitif wine.
