Malbec harvested by moonlight, revealing Cahors at its most elegant

  • Vin de Lune represents a singular approach by Jean-Luc Baldès at Clos Triguedina, drawing upon an old tradition of nocturnal harvesting to preserve freshness and intensify aromatic concentration in the fruit.
  • This meticulous attention yields a Malbec of uncommon refinement: concentrated yet delicate, expressing the terroir of Cahors with particular elegance and clarity.
  • The wine's structure and depth make it an excellent companion to duck breast, grilled red meats, and mature cheeses—dishes that reward a wine of genuine character and substance.

Product features : Clos Triguedina – Cahors Vin de Lune 2020

In the mouth
Ample and powerful on the palate, with silken tannins and impressive length. Dark fruit flavours—blackberry and cassis—meld with liquorice and chocolate, finishing with a whisper of spice and mineral tension.
On the nose
Expressive and complex bouquet dominated by ripe dark fruits, violet, liquorice, and well-integrated oak. The aromatics develop with subtle spice and mineral undertones.
On the eye
Deep purple robe with violet reflections, brilliant and profound
Breeding
Aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, developing subtle wood aromas that support the tannic structure without masking the fruit
M. Francois
