In the mouth
The palate is harmonious and well-balanced, with a pleasant, fine-grained texture. Elegant tannins provide structure without harshness, whilst good acidity ensures freshness and length on the finish.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with ripe red fruits—plum and cherry—followed by gentle spice notes. Subtle forest floor and mineral undertones emerge with aeration, adding complexity and depth.
On the eye
Deep garnet-red robe with excellent density and concentration.
Breeding
Aged in concrete vat (60%), oak barrels and large casks (40%). Bottled from 20 months onwards.
This wine pairs admirably with duck confit, magret, and rillettes. It complements lamb and beef dishes with equal grace, and works well alongside mature cheeses. The structure and weight make it suitable for cellaring, though it offers considerable pleasure in its youth.
