Breeding
Ambitious 18-month élevage in French oak barrels (new and one-year-old) within the estate's temperature-controlled cellars
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with violet glints. Limpid and lustrous.
On the nose
Ripe dark berry fruits dominate, with secondary notes of preserved fruit and spice. The oak is well-integrated, adding subtle toasted grain character without dominance.
In the mouth
Intense and layered on the palate. Red fruits, liquorice and pepper spice meld with toasted oak notes. The tannins are supple and well-resolved, providing structure without harshness. A wine of genuine complexity.
M. Francois
This wine shows its finest qualities alongside roasted lamb or venison, where its structure and spice complement the richness of the meat. The wine's generosity and depth make it equally rewarding as a serious table wine for those who appreciate Languedoc's potential.

Nicolas françois, propriétaire passionné des halles de quercamps

CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT

Set on the argilo-calcaire slopes and rolled-pebble soils of Saint-Drézéry, north-east of Montpellier, Château Puech-Haut farms 150 hectares in organic conversion within the Languedoc appellation. Founded in 1980 by Gérard Bru on what was once dense garrigue and olive groves, the estate has steadily established itself as one of the region's most consistent addresses, blending Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre for its reds, and Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier for its whites. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its range, the precision of its assemblages, and the fresh momentum brought since 2024 by incoming managing director Arnaud Demongeot. A reliable, characterful choice for those who want the Languedoc at its most complete.
