In the mouth
The palate is broad and well-structured, with silky tannins that frame the wine beautifully. Red fruit—cherry and crushed strawberry—mingles with delicate oak influences, creating a wine of balance and persistence.
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with dark berry fruit—blackcurrant and plum—layered with subtle spice and mineral notes. A complex, evolving nose that rewards attention.
On the eye
Deep garnet with blood-red highlights. A wine of clear intensity and maturity.
M. Francois
This wine shows the generosity and structure to complement robust dishes. It would be excellent alongside beef bourguignon, coq au vin, or other slow-braised meat preparations. The wine's elegance also makes it suitable for enjoying on its own, allowing its complexity to develop in the glass over the course of an evening.

CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT

Set on the argilo-calcaire slopes and rolled-pebble soils of Saint-Drézéry, north-east of Montpellier, Château Puech-Haut farms 150 hectares in organic conversion within the Languedoc appellation. Founded in 1980 by Gérard Bru on what was once dense garrigue and olive groves, the estate has steadily established itself as one of the region's most consistent addresses, blending Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre for its reds, and Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier for its whites. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its range, the precision of its assemblages, and the fresh momentum brought since 2024 by incoming managing director Arnaud Demongeot. A reliable, characterful choice for those who want the Languedoc at its most complete.
