In the mouth
Velvet texture balanced by bright acidity that brings freshness and structure. The mid-palate shows good weight without heaviness; the finish is clean and persistent.
On the nose
Aromas of dark cherry and blackcurrant lead, followed by subtle notes of fine wood and liquorice. The bouquet develops with air, revealing further complexity.
On the eye
Deep, intense garnet with promising purple-tinged edges.
M. Francois
I find this 2022 particularly well-judged. The balance between aromatic richness and tannin finesse is precisely what Saint-Émilion should offer—a wine that complements good food and conversation without demanding attention. It's approachable now, yet will reward cellaring.
