A benchmark estate and reference point in Languedoc

  • This rosé achieves a refined equilibrium between Mourvèdre and Cinsault, two varieties that complement one another admirably. The Mourvèdre provides structure and depth, whilst the Cinsault contributes freshness and aromatic lift.
  • A rosé of genuine versatility, equally at home as an aperitif on a summer evening or paired with lunch throughout the year. Its balanced acidity and moderate alcohol make it a wine for all seasons.
  • Fresh and approachable, yet with sufficient complexity to reward attention. This is a wine designed for conviviality—whether shared amongst friends or enjoyed with family at table.

Breeding
Ageing on fine lees with light stirring to enhance richness and silky mouthfeel
On the eye
Rose petal
On the nose
Bright intensity of citrus fruits and tart red berries. Secondary notes of white peach and a whisper of minerality emerge with aeration.
In the mouth
Layered and engaging. White cherry and floral notes combine with a subtle spice undertone. The palate is clean and well-defined, with good length and a dry finish.
M. Francois
An excellent aperitif wine. Equally suited to light salads, grilled prawns, salmon en papillote, and poultry dishes. The wine's acidity makes it particularly sympathetic to Mediterranean cuisine and herb-forward preparations. Serve chilled at 8-10°C.

CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT

Set on the argilo-calcaire slopes and rolled-pebble soils of Saint-Drézéry, north-east of Montpellier, Château Puech-Haut farms 150 hectares in organic conversion within the Languedoc appellation. Founded in 1980 by Gérard Bru on what was once dense garrigue and olive groves, the estate has steadily established itself as one of the region's most consistent addresses, blending Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre for its reds, and Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier for its whites. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its range, the precision of its assemblages, and the fresh momentum brought since 2024 by incoming managing director Arnaud Demongeot. A reliable, characterful choice for those who want the Languedoc at its most complete.
