Breeding
Short ageing in stainless steel to preserve fruit purity. No oak barrel maturation.

Violet-tinged robe with appealing luminosity
On the nose
Inviting aromatics of black raspberry and crisp stone fruits. The bouquet is clean and forthright, without heavy oak influence, allowing the fruit character to speak clearly.
In the mouth
The palate moves gracefully between bright freshness and ripe fruit generosity. Tannins are refined rather than assertive, allowing the wine to finish with understated elegance and a lingering fruit impression.

This wine demonstrates why Chateau Puech-Haut has established itself as a serious producer within the Languedoc appellation. The Argali 2022 is particularly well-suited to convivial occasions—serve it with cured meats, soft cheeses, or simply as an aperitif wine. Its approachability and balance make it an excellent introduction to quality Languedoc reds for those seeking authentic regional character without unnecessary expense.

CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT

Set on the argilo-calcaire slopes and rolled-pebble soils of Saint-Drézéry, north-east of Montpellier, Château Puech-Haut farms 150 hectares in organic conversion within the Languedoc appellation. Founded in 1980 by Gérard Bru on what was once dense garrigue and olive groves, the estate has steadily established itself as one of the region's most consistent addresses, blending Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre for its reds, and Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier for its whites. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its range, the precision of its assemblages, and the fresh momentum brought since 2024 by incoming managing director Arnaud Demongeot. A reliable, characterful choice for those who want the Languedoc at its most complete.
