Refined sweetness with crystalline freshness

  • This moelleux originates from the Loupiac appellation, celebrated for its balanced sweet wines shaped by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), which concentrates the aromatic intensity and creates wines of genuine complexity.
  • Sémillon provides richness and candied fruit character, whilst Sauvignon Blanc contributes brightness and acidity, achieving a harmonious balance between generosity and refinement.
  • Equally at home with foie gras, blue cheese or fruit-based desserts, this Loupiac also merits appreciation as an aperitif wine, where its aromatic depth becomes the focal point.

Expressive bouquet of candied apricot, acacia honey, white flowers and a subtle citrus note that prevents the wine from becoming cloying
On the eye
Luminous golden robe with amber highlights

Château Miqueu Bel Air Loupiac Moelleux represents elegant, gourmand winemaking for those who favour balanced sweet wines. Its candied fruit aromatics and refreshing acidity make it equally suitable for pairing with refined dishes such as foie gras or fruit desserts, or for savouring alone as an aperitif. The wine possesses genuine ageing potential; with time, its aromatic profile will deepen and evolve, becoming increasingly complex and rewarding.

CHATEAU MIQUEU BEL AIR

Situated in Loupiac, Gironde, some 30 kilometres south of Bordeaux and adjoining Château Grand Peyruchet, Château Miqueu Bel Air produces botrytised sweet whites under the Bordeaux appellation. The Gillet Queyrens family has upheld a winemaking tradition across five generations, working with Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle, and holding HVE certification as a mark of genuine environmental commitment. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its sweet whites, the integrity of its family approach, and the true character of its botrytised wines. A Loupiac address well worth knowing for lovers of fine, expressive doux whites.
